Wow – what a stunning winter wedding! Bernie and Anton got married at Boomrock Estate in Wellington this July. I loved everything about this wedding. Bernie and Anton are such a wonderful, natural and in-love couple and they chose just about the most photogenic place in Wellington to get married. Add to that the stunning mid-winter weather, an incredibly fun group of guests and a chance for me to take a ride in a helicopter and I was in my element! It was also great to have awesome second shooter Jason Mann there meaning that we could record from every angle, great job Jason you deserve credits for quite a few of these shots!
Thanks so much for having us along for the ride guys, it was an absolute pleasure!
Wedding photography without a wedding dress 🙂 Loving the colours in the cliff top shots against the backdrop of the sunset. What was your lighting set-up for those shots?
Thanks Den. I had a softbox mounted speedlight just in shot slightly above and to the right/left which I later removed. Was impressed that we could overpower the sun!
Brilliant photos – I love the chopper shots!! Great work : )
Thanks Joseph – this really was one of my all time favourites!!!
We are in total AWE with what you have done!!!!
Before we met you we already knew you could capture the look we were after, meeting you we knew you were the right personality for the job, however we were not expecting you to continue to tick all the boxes – even the ones we hadn’t thought of. Somehow you and Jason Mann managed to connect with all our guests – we had a lot of feedback from them on how impressed they were. You both seemed to be everywhere and all the right times.
Then when you gave us a file with all our images….OMG! We were totally mesmerised…
How on earth did you collate all those fabulous images and put a stream together telling a story from the beginning of the day right through to the end???
And…
Somehow you have manage to capture a real sense of emotion and movement in still shots?
And…
We just love the way none of the photos are posed! Even the ones that are specifically set up have come out looking really natural – one of your gifts I suspect is, capturing the image after everyone thinks the photo has been taken.
And…
Also the slide show is just perfect, we keep on watching it and we both have tears in our eyes at the end. And the music is perfect – thanks for streaming the two song together, it works so well 🙂
Bernie & Anton
Thanks so much Bernie and Anton, both for the review and for inviting me into such a special day – it really was a pleasure. You were AWESOME and I’ve never met two people more in love – all the best guys!
Dear Twin Souls,
OMG…we have not stopped talking about what an amazing wedding we witnessed ever since we returned to Australia. Seeing the photos today has brought back some fantastic memories. What an amazing photographer…OMG we look good on the dance floor…shame he didn’t get a few more of us, cos after all it is all about us….hehe. Thank-you for extending an invite to be a part of such a magical day and night in the lives of Bernie and Anton. (After seeing those photos…I’d Do-ya Bernie).
Lots of Aroha
Your couzzies

I feel really honoured to have been sent these, by Shona and Lloyd, and will treasure them. A SPECTACULAR place to hold the wedding of Bernie and Anton, and I almost feel that I was present at the occasion.
Regards from Ruth West
As mother of the most beautiful bride I would also like to thank you Paul for the amazing record of a very happy day, I think I also speak for my mother who thorough enjoyed the day and being able to relive it through all these wonderful shots.
Thanks so much Shona, it was absolutely my pleasure to be a part of such an awesome wedding!
