Dena and Brett got married at Te Papa this January. From our first Skype call to discuss their wedding photography (Dena and Brett lived in Canada when we first spoke), Dena has to be one of the most excited Brides I have ever worked with! Right from the moment I arrived to get some ‘getting ready’ photographs before the ceremony, I don’t think that the smile left Dena’s face for the entire day, and it was definitely catching;-)

So it was such a pleasure to see the day run perfectly. The wedding ceremony took place on the balcony at Icon in Te Papa, a great setting with a brilliant Wellington backdrop. There was a very international flavour with many of the guests coming all the way from Canada, where Brett is from,  to be a part of the celebrations. After the ceremony we did the entire Bridal photo-shoot in and around Te Papa where there are no shortage of great locations, especially when its a bit windy out on the waterfront. Then back to Icon for the reception that, so I am told, went far, far into the night! I guess when you are coming all the way from Canada you might as well party hard;-)
