When I first met Kate and Phil in Wellington several months ago to discuss wedding photography I knew that I was in for an awesome wedding! Not only were they photogenic and in love ;-), but they had also chosen one of my favourite Masterton wedding venues ‘The Landing’ as the location for both their wedding ceremony and reception. We had an awesome engagement shoot a couple of months before the big day that confirmed my initial instincts! So when I got up to a rainy blustery Saturday in Wellington I packed my umbrellas and knew that we would get some great shots regardless. As it happened the umbrellas weren’t needed, in Masterton the sun was shining like mid-summer and it must have been a good ten degrees warmer than my home in Karori – I was glad for some emergency sunscreen 😉
The whole day went off without a hitch, just about! The best man had been stuck in Shanghai airport due to smog for over 24hrs and it was touch and go if he would make it, but did, arriving just about dead on the ceremony start time! A very exciting way to start the day.
Thanks for having me Kate and Phil!
