I love having a lighting assistant on hand when shooting weddings, especially during the group and bridal shoots. I have been asked a number of times the advantages, so I have added the following page to my website explaining why I sometimes use lighting and how beneficial a lighting assistant can be. Essentially, I am sure that all wedding photographers would choose to shoot in perfect natural light if they could, but what happens when the available light is not so perfect?
